When seconds matter - police are only minutes away

In any active shooter event, the criminal perpetrator has already ignored and defeated any law restricting his/her ability to have a gun and shoot innocent people.  Even if the preferred weapon of murder is not a gun, the immediate application of defensive force, in the form of using a gun to stop a murderer, is only possible if someone on scene has a weapon.  Police cannot be everywhere at once, they can only respond which takes valuable minutes.  Those minutes mean life or death to the innocent victims of the assault.

It requires only a modicum of intelligent reasoning to determine that a law preventing a Concealed Handgun Permit holder from having their weapon avaible for defense actually enables a lawbreaking murderer and will cost innocent lives in the future.
