I Strongly Oppose This Executive Order

This proposed regulation will create a safe zone where the terrorists and violent criminals will meet no armed resistance.  We have had no shootings in state agencies by concealed weapons permit holders, but those are the very people this proposed regulation is targeting.  These good people have also been through the background checks the Governor is so desperate to implement state-wide.  This is a bad solution looking for a problem.

Disarming the good citizens of the Commonwealth and other states with reciprocity will not make anyone safer.

Importantly the Governor has no authority for this regulation. If the General Assembly wanted the Governor to have such power, they would have granted it to him explicitly, as is required constitutionally.  The Governor is bypassing the General Assembly because he believes it will not pass the constitutional voting process.  This is an overreach of power by the executive branch.

This regulation should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
