What is the governor thinking?

If the governor is interested in safety, then he needs to educate himself. "Gun free zones" like schools, college campuses, and the like are precisely the places that criminals and terrorists pick because they know they cannot be offered any meaningful resistance. Furthermore, if a terrorist or criminal foolishes chooses to carry out his murderous intent in a place where people have not been rendered defenseless, his or her attack is apt to be stopped before it is completed, thus saving lives. We need the governor to make decisions with facts and logic, not emotionalism and a hackneyed political agenda left over from the 1960s.
