Another knee jerk over stepping of authority

As has been said literally thousands of times, criminals do not obey the laws.  Murder is illegal in Virginia is it not?  So why is it still happening?  Does someone at the local government truly believe that someone intent on perpetrating a crime with a gun is going to see the sign posted at the door, and say to himself "Oh, guns are not allowed to be carried here, I guess I'll have to give up on my evil plan since I can't take a gun in."  Maybe he'll just go home and re-think his life.  How can we possibly feel safe knowing that the same people who say we don't need guns, because the government will protect us, are the same people who come up with these incredibly ridiculous, and out of touch policies?  This is nothing more than a weak Governor cow towing to his parties, rather than his peoples, agenda.  I for one am disgusted at the ignorance of our leadership, or more accurately, the lack thereof.
