No more "Gun-Free" Zones

Why are we trying to provide easier access to acts of terrorism? The only thing that gun-free zones do is disarm the good guys. Why is this not common sense? What good does maing a law like this do? What criminal intent on causing harm with a gun is going to turn away because of a sign or written law? The very definition of a criminal is someone with disregard for the law. A "gun-free" zone just serves to tell a potential terrorist or criminal that there is a better chance of success due to a lower likelyhood of meeting armed resistance. In the last decade, we have been seeing an overall decline in gun violence everywhere, EXCEPT gun-free zones. All of the major mass-shootings (Aurora, Columbine, Sandy Hook, etc.) happened where guns weren't supposed to be, anyway. Why does this fact escape the people in favor of this legislature? CRIMINALS WILL NOT FOLLOW THESE LAWS.
