Gun-free zones do not work

Crimminals, by there very nature, do not abide by laws.  Creating laws that prohibit the lawful carrying of firearms does nothing to deter crime, but creates areas where criminals know they can perpetrate their crimes without fear of armed resistence.  This can also play into the hands of terrorists as they seek undefended targets.  The Governor's executive ban on the lawful carrying of firearms in state buildings sovlves no problems, but may actually pose a threat to the safety of all who work within or visit those buildings.

I am asking that this executive action be ended and that no law be passed that would hinder the law abiding citizen from defending themselves.

I also request that the comment period for this issue be extended for another 30 days in order for more people to have their opinions heard.
