In 2013, the Virginia Board of Health finalized dangerous and medically unnecessary restrictions designed to close women’s health centers that provide comprehensive reproductive health care, like lifesaving cancer screenings and birth control, as well as safe, legal abortion. This action disproportionately affected low income women who have limited access to the comprehensive reproductive health care that is so critical to health and well being.  These restrictions were a thinly veiled guise to eliminate access to safe, legal abortion but also negatively affected access to the entire range of reproductive health services.  I urge you to amend the TRAP restrictions that impose unrealistic standards on women's health centers.  The women of Virginia deserve no less!
