Regulating health and safety procedures should be based on the best scientific and medical evidence available, not on sentiment or political viewpoint.  Unnecessary regulations, by increasing costs, reduce the availability and quality of services offered and thereby threaten the welfare of those seeking the services.  Get rid of them.
