Thank you for voting to amend the medically unnecessary TRAP restrictions.  I support the Board of Health’s decision to amend restrictions designed to close women’s health care centers in Virginia. The restrictions on women’s health centers in Virginia are about denying access to abortion, period; they are driven by political forces, not medical concerns. Several women’s health centers in Virginia have been forced to close or restrict their services already, in part due to TRAP, putting women’s health care at risk. 

If the restrictions remain unchanged, additional health centers will close – an event which disproportionately affects poor and minority women, affecting them and their families emotionally and financially, as well as medically. Now is your chance to fix these restrictions and keep Virginia women’s health centers open.
