I fully support the Board of Health’s decision to amend the medically-unnecessary restrictions designed to close safe, trusted women’s health care centers in Virginia. I am aware that originally the Board of Health voted against these severe restrictions until they were threatened by former Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, essentially, you would lose your positions, as I understand it, if you did not reverse your stance.  

I hope that the intimidation factor will not enter into any future decisions or voting by the Board of Health.  The health needs of women should trump any  political schemes to restrict women's right to safe and effective health care.
