Clinic restrictions

I've been an RN for forty years. My knowledge of hospitals and clinics tells me that clinics have proven to be safe, lower cost alternatives to hospitals for many surgical procedures including abortions. Similar risk procedures have not been singled out as requiring hospital grade facilities. Why abortion? It is clear that making abortion subject to medically unnecessary restrictions is designed to reduce women's access to abortion. If this continues, women will still need abortions and will seek out places and providers much less safe than our present clinics. History bears this out. Allow Virginia women, especially poor women with fewer resources, to manage our health without political agendas' limiting our access to healthcare.
