Do not use impose unreasonable regulations to limit women's healthcare

Ty

Please do not impose unreasonable regulations on women's health care providers.  Please use evidence based research to determine the appropriate level of regulation for providers.  Patient safety should be the sole consideration.  Unfortunately we know that the motivation for many of the comments here is not patient safety but to achieve their untimate goal of shutting down ALL facilities that perform abortions.  Whether or not abortions are supported by the commenters or a lawmakers' religious beliefs is totally irrelevant.  We are a Commonwealth founded on the principle that separates state and religion.  Abortion is one of the safest medical procedures performed in the United States.  Any regulation that is imposed on women's health care providers should also be applied to other clinics.  It is not appropriate to regulate women's health care providers in the same manner as hospitals.  Closing these women's clinics does not reduce the number of women seeking abortion services, in fact it only makes the delivery of these services MORE DANGEROUS. Women's health care clinics provide  birth control and preventive health care, treatment and testing for sexually transmitted infections, pre-natal health care, cancer screenings and SAFE AND LEGAL access to abortions

I urge you to stick to evidence based regulations when monitoring women's health centers.

Thank you for your service to the women and families of Virginia.
