Protect Hispanic Women

Board of Health,

As a young Hispanic woman, I find Planned Parenthoods attempts to remain unregulated disgusting. Kermit Gosnell is a prime example of what happens when courts and medical inspectors choose to turn a blind eye to abortion clinics. Abortion clinics are the ONLY medical clinics that preform surgical operations that do not have to comply with surgical standards. Do Virginia lawmakers want the next Gosnell to be in Virginia"This is not about abortion. This is about protecting woman by holding abortion clinics to health standards they have been flagrantly violating. Examples of such violations include blood splattered exam tables and equipment, unsterilized needles, incomplete lifesaving equipment, violations of Virginia parental consent laws, an absence of reporting of possible cases of child abuse, and many more deficiencies.Do Virginia lawmakers want women seeking abortion to have to be submitted to this kind of flagrant disregard for womens health" In addition, Hispanics such as myself and black women are disproportionately affected by abortion. Abortion clinics prey on the impoverished and uneducated women. Please enact standards that will protect young women like myself from the likes of Kermit GosnellRespectfully, Teresa Kaza
