Keep Women's Health and Safety regulations in place

I find it comforting, that when I enter a hospital, a dental clinic, rehabilitation facility or any medical facility, that these institutions and offices are clean and safe; in compliance with all city, county or state regulations.

So, why would this not be the case for women entering an Abortion facility.  Why are these facilities often exempt from the same inspection, safety and health standards mandated by state and federal laws?  In many cases, as the Goshnell trial proved, the very agencies responsible for inspecting these facilities are woefully lax; almost bordering on nonexistent.  This wasn't just an isolated case in Philadelphia or the state of Pennslyvania.  The physicians who "Operate" within these type of facilities, in many instances, have no hospital privileges which really complicates a botched abortion when the patient is rushed to ER and physician of record has no standing at that hospital facility.  Often the reason is because these so called "Physicians or Doctors" have lost their license to practice in a particular state and are having patients tranferred to abortion facilities where they can still "practice" on women's bodies and lives..

Many of the aforementioned inspection, safety and cleanliness issues were cited by the ownership of the Eaton Place facility and patients who came to this abortion clinic operating Fairfax, Virginia.  The owner of Eaton Place abortion clinic lost her license to practice medicine in 2 states, so her skills had come into question previously.  The poor women, who came to this facility, saw and experienced dreadful conditions,... women drugged and waiting,... women sick and throwing up in hallways or men's bathrooms since the clinic often locked the women's bathroom because women were getting sick inside the toilet stalls.  They also reported the dirty and filthy operating area, not to mention the awful smell of decomposing human tissue.

So again I ask,... why should any women be exposed to and exploited by an abortionists, working in these abominable facilities and conditions.   If Virginia insists on permitting these type of facilities to exist outside the realm of a hospital, then at the very least, lets ensure they are subject to the same health and inspection standards used by Virginia hospitals.

Sincerely

Alan
