As a former health services administrator and current Virginia resident working overseas, I'd like to express my strong opposition ot SB 924, the so-called TRAP laws. 

There is no health, safety or other compelling reason to equate clinics to hospitals.  So it is quite obvious that imposing draconian regulations on small reproductive health clinics that will force many of them to close is for ideological reasons.  As a result, thousands of mostly poor women will be denied access to health care, including cancer screening and family planning.  This type of ill-conceived legislation is not worthy of our state, and I urge you to reconsider.  This law is not good for the women of Virginia.
