Restricting women's access to existing clinics which provide abortions will not result in fewer abortions. It will, however, reduce the number of safe, legal abortions and increase the instances of serious medical complications and deaths of women.

Anyone truly wanting to decrease the number of abortions would place their emphasis on education and on increasing the accessibility of contraceptives.
