I strongly urge the Virginia Board of Health to retain the abortion center safety regulations now in place. This is not about which side of the abortion issue one supports, it is about the health of women who choose to have an abortion. I believe the evidence to keep these regulations in place comes from the few inspections completed that produced over 100 violations. How can anyone possibly believe that clinics that have blood stained tables and vials, unsterilized equipment, and untrained staff members is a safe place for surgical procedures? This certainly would not be allowed in any other medical clinic. Thank you for your consideration and I'm looking forward to all the regulations which or now "on the books" being re-validated and retained.
