I began my nursing career in 1948.  Through the years I have seen much joy and great sorrow relating to pregnancy, birth, and childhood.  Decisions women and their families have made in conjunction with their physicians have been very difficult.,  The laws have made this more onerous.

   The arrogance of politicians to inject their beliefs into people's lives, of whom they know nothing of the circumstances, is immoral.  The Board of Health should base its decisions on medicine, not politics.

    As the existing health centers have been providing safe care for women, I urge you to amend the regulations to grandfather in existing health centers.
