I strongly oppose TRAP regulations. These onerous regulations are designed not to improve women's health, but on the contrary, to prevent women from getting health care and even-handed information. The proponents of these regulations pushed through these politically motivated TRAP regulations NOT ON what should be a scientific and evidence-based medical regulatory process but through legal threats and back-room deals. This underhanded process even caused the resignation of public health champion Dr. Karen Remley, who felt she could no longer promote Virginia’s public health in the face of such drastic political overreach.
