I strongly oppose these measures, which do nothing to increase accountability or transparency. With no basis in actual performance data from our schools, no connection whatsoever to best educational practices, and no funding to make deployment feasible, these proposed measures exist only to move the goalposts, defining "school success" in a way that sets our schools up to _appear_ to fail. They are not failing now, by any valid metric, and it is ridiculous that our state governing boards are working so very hard to make it seem so.
I would absolutely support any revisions that actually support our schools, promote transparency, or strengthen our relationships of accountability. This piece of work before us accomplishes none of these things, and exists only to push a false narrative in order to undermine our teachers, students, and communities.
