I oppose the change to the accountability measures because it is well establishd that raising expectations is NOT an effective way to improve academic performance in K-12 education.  Virginia should start giving schools the resources they need to adequately teach students..  This is especialy important for Title 1 and rural schools.  Virginia has been underfunded K-12 education for years. and although the claim is that there is so much more funding today than a few years ago FUNDING HAS NOT KEPT UP WITH INFLATION.
