Regulations on Abortion Centers MUST be made Permanent

I am pro-life and strongly reject the notion that abortion is health care, because it ends lives rather than healing them.

However, the existence of the abortion industry under the guise of "health care" is, a sad and tragic reality in our Commonwealth and our country. Given this reality, the abortion industry MUST be required to meet reasonable, commonsense health and safety standards to protect women’s health.

The current regulations are reasonable, common sense measures to ensure that life-saving equipment is on hand, infections are prevented, and that clear written policies and building guidelines are in place. They were proposed by medical experts at the Department of Health and were approved 12-1 by the Board of Health.

If you consider abortion clinics a health care facility, then you MUST ensure that there are strict regulations which these facilities must folllow, and you MUST ensure that they follow the guidelines which protect those who use any form of medical facilities.  This should include providing women ALL the information women need to make this decision - that is, ALL the physical, emotional and spiritual after-effects of abortion.  It should also provide, information on alternatives to abortion.

Thank you!
