I would like to live in a world where no woman chooses to have an abortion, but if she can find no way out, I want her at least to be as safe as possible. Too many facilities are cramped cattle mills, and I cringe to think that previously hospital-standard hygienic practices and procedures were not mandated. As a physician I have seen the sad aftermath of procedures that led to infection and bleeding with no provision whatsoever for aftercare other than the emergency room. keep the current more stringent regulations on abortion sites.
