Common Sense

Clinics performing abortions are performing a significant medical procedure and should be held to the same or similar standards as other institutions performing medical procedures.   To do otherwise may jeopardize the health of the patient and only serves to advance a political agenda.

The regulations make sense.  For example, they say, “A physician shall remain on the premises until all patients are medically stable, sign the discharge order and be readily available and accessible until the last patient is discharged.”  They also say that “A license to establish or operate an abortion facility shall be issued only when the abortion facility is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes and regulations….”  These regulations are not onerous; rather, they serve the goal of good medical care and are simply common sense.
