It is absolutely critical that the Board of Health accept the strongest possible regulations, and that these be permanent regulations.  These regulations have huge life-saving potential; they were designed to guarantee safe and sanitary conditions for women procuring abortions.  We obviously desire that such regulations would not be needed, but in our current condition, they are needed.  As long as women are making the unfortunate decisions that lead to abortion, we need to guarantee their health and welfare through such a brutal ordeal.
