Let's work together to keep our communities healthy

America’s 84 Planned Parenthood affiliates do more than any other organization to prevent unintentional pregnancies. We provide low-cost, high-quality care to women and men and, althoug, many would want you to think all Planned Parenthood does is provide abortions, the truth is more than 80 percent of the services provided are intended to keep women healthy and prevent unintentional pregnancies. These services include:

· Annual gynecological and breast exams

· Testing and treatment for precancerous cervical conditions

· Family planning counseling

· Birth control and emergency contraception

· Pregnancy testing, education, and counseling

· HPV vaccines

· STD and HIV testing

· And primary care services including managing hypertension and diabetes.

It would be a disservice to do anything but want to assist health clinics that provide these types of services for those with low incomes or no health insurance. Let's all work together to educate people about birth control and effective family planning so we can reduce the numbers of uninentional pregnancies. And have healthier communities.
