Abortion clinic regulations should be made permanent

I urge the General Assembly to make permanent the strongest regulations possible for abortion centers. Emergency regulations passed and enacted by the Virginia Board of Health began to treat abortions centers more like hospitals, ensuring that they would be better equipped to deal with medical emergencies resulting from injuries caused by abortions. And these medical emergencies do exist, as even one Planned Parenthood spokeswoman admitted. women procuring abortioThese regulations have huge life-saving potential; they were designed to guarantee safe and sanitary conditions for women having abortions. Virginians want these regulations to be permanent for the protection of women and the prevention of heinous incidences like the kind linked with Dr. Brigham. He owns abortion centers in Virginia and has been charged with murder counts in Maryland for ending the lives of children who were just weeks from being born. He has also been linked to the severe injuring of women. With new and strong abortion center regulations, Virginia will be able to investigate and address these types of centers.
