Abortion Regulations

The pending regulations about abortion clinics have nothing to do with concern over a women, their health or their lives. There is no scientific basis to say abortion is an unsafe procedure.

Instead of science, the regulations are based on religious ideology. And when religion is only concern, science, evidence, and those other things become totally irrelevant.

I know that Virginia is going to do everything possible to stop abortions, period. And I know that Viriginia will provide absolutely no funding for services after birth. Once the baby is out of the womb, it is not longer an object of concern for anti-abortionists.

In spite of the futility of appealing to any factors except the religious beliefs of antiabortionists, I'm still submitting these comments. It makes me feel better.

But I have no delusion that religious antiabortionists will listen or care or change their campaign or that the Virginia regulations will involve any reasonable data.

Virginia regulators believe they have God on their side. Talkikng to you is no different than it would be talking to the Talaban.

Sincerely,

Michael Davis
