Please reject new regulations on women's reproductive-care providers.

In the length of time that the currently considered regulations have been debated (for design of women's clinics and access to clinic records) I do not recall hearing of one serious health outcome that would have been prevented by these regulations.

Requirements for redesign of buildings where safe care has been provided for years amount simply to harassment, and were not intended by the drafters of the manual used as a source.

Neither is there any justification for intrusive regulations that allow a state agency to review clinic and patient records. Inspections focused on the wholesomeness of medical or other premises do not require the release on demand of patrons' personal information. I am horrified to think that women obtaining a spectrum of reproductive health care could have their identities and personal data circulated without due process and without legal recourse.

These regulations have only one aim -- to make it difficult-to-impossible for women's health centers to continue providing care -- and represent a shameful attack on women, medical reality and common sense. Please let them expire.
