Health Services Access should be strengthened not weakened

My fear is that these politically motivated regulations will reduce what is already a very limited access to a legal medical procedure.   As a Board of Health, your concerns should include access.  I remember growing up where the only place on the east coast where you could get an abortion was New York.  This meant lots of people traveling (often by bus) many hours or days.  As a Board  of Health I believe strongly you should work to provide better access to local care rather than impose regulations that are clearly excessive and not medically required.

These regulations were put in place to restrict access by those who oppose the rights of the women involved to make their own medical decisions.  The only reasonable argument for such regulations is some horror stories from other states.   Current laws and inspections should prevent such here in Virginia.   However making regulations that result in higher costs and fewer clinics is not the direction to better local driven health care.  I am against big goverment.  This intrusion into personal health issues for religious and political reasons is wrong.
