SB 924

I am writing to you today regarding SB 924. This is instrusive government regulation endangering women's access to critical reproductive health care services, including life-saving cancer screenings, family planning, STI testing and treatment, and continued safe, legal abortion care.  There is absolutely NO numbers supporting anything that these life-saving centers do anything but SAVE lives to women in difficult financial situations.

In fact, I find this legislation as another example of intrusive government regulation in personal lives. In these difficult economic times, there are many, many more issues from finance, housing, job creation that we of Virginia need to be focusing upon - not MORE regulation in personal lives.

Living in Northern VA, you are simply forcing the woman's vote against  you. Please, enact legislation against ageism in Virginia business, illegal finance activities, adding transparency to elections (ie: overturning Citizens United) - but leave a woman's choice to healthcare alone.

Government needs to leave their personal religious beliefs out of legislation. That's not your job. Please, focus on bringiing new technology jobs to VA as we face a downsizing of government investment ( business) that will greatly affect all areas of VA. Regulating life-saving women's clinics will not generate more jobs. Will not generate state revenue.

Please focus on what's important. Not more government regulation upon personal lives.

BTW, I find it hypocritical that you have no problem NOT regulating guns - which kill more people in VA - allowing concealed weapons in bars for God's sakes! NOT regulating illegal gun sales, NOT requiring documentation and a decent background check. There's lives that WILL be saved today if you weren't accepting sooooooo much money from the NRA.  Be nice if you'd actually do the right thing for women rather than the right thing for your coffers. Money before people, I guess.
