Oh, the irony of the words "Don't Tread on Me" or the howls and shrieks of "too much government regulation." That's funny.

Pretending this action is for the "safety" of women is LAUGHABLE. We all know this is a political ploy to restrict access to safe, affordable abortion and reproductive care. And to place PROFOUNDLY PERSONAL and spiritual decisions in the realm of govermnent.

The actual effect of this law would be to increase the number of BACK-ALLEY abortions and result in untold amounts of suffering, health complications and deaths of women and children.

DOING THIS WILL NOT REDUCE THE NUMBER OF ABORTIONS THAT TAKE PLACE.

Nothing about this legislation ACTUALLY improves health and safety for actual women. Let's just be honest about that.

Those who would restrict access to safe abortions are UNETHICAL, AMORAL and totally WITHOUT COMPASSION for the real lives of women and families. A poorly timed pregancy can destroy a woman's future. Giving a child up for adoption if a woman can not do that in good conscience can destroy her psychologically. A high-risk pregnancy can take her life.

Who suffers then?? HER CHILDREN. Left motherless. Left as "EMOTIONAL" orphans if she has too much responsibility on her plate without enough support or financial resources. Left as REAL ORPHANS if she puts them up for adoption. Nothing is for sure that they would be cared for by anyone. And in government care, they're on their own at 18.

If you truly cared about FAMILIES AND CHILDREN, you would not force a woman to become a parent before she's emotionally and financially ready. You would not force a woman to give a child up for adoption. You would not force her to carry an unsafe, unhealthy pregnancy to term. You would not burden extended families with additional responsibility they may not be able to take on.

If you truly cared about SOCIETY, you would not create "legislation" that would create unwanted, uncared for emotional orphans or REAL orphans if the mother actually dies. This is a burden on society. And it increases human suffering.

If you truly cared about the HEALTH AND SAFETY of actual women, you would not force them into BACK ALLEY risky, unsafe proceedures, forcing them to risk their lives to control their own reproductive destiny.

If you were truly concerned about the safety of outpatient clinic facilities, you would apply similar "legislation" equally across medical specialties. That you do not hold others to these same standards EXPOSES YOUR REAL MOTIVATIONS to restrict access to abortion and to place additional ridiculous burdens on perfectly safe clinics performing valuable services to the underserved in our society.

SHAME ON YOU for wasting taxpayer time and money creating burdensome, deceitful "legislation."

SHAME ON YOU for pretending to care about health and safety when it's obvious you're pandering to an extreme religious minority. 

SHAME ON YOU for placing the concerns of that MINORITY above your sworn duty to represent your total constituency.

SHAME ON YOU for breaching the separation of church and state. Placing the beliefs of ONE TYPE of Christian church above the multitude of Christian varieties as well as the other religions in your district. Oh how you would HOWL if someone who believed differently than you tried forcing you to go against your beliefs. That is why we have CHOICE. If your religion tells you not to have an abortion, DON'T HAVE ONE. But don't but into the spiritual lives of OTHERS.

SHAME ON YOU FOR BELIEVING YOU HAVE THE ONLY TRUE CONNECTION TO THE ONLY LEGITIMATE GOD and that you have the power to force your beliefs on everyone else. News flash: NOT EVEN THE BIBLE AGREES WITH YOUR EXTREME DEFINITION OF WHEN LIFE BEGINS. Read for yourself:

"Then I looked again at all the acts of oppression which were being done under the sun. And behold, I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them: and on the side of their oppressors was poer, but they had no one to comfort them. So I congratulated the dead who are already dead more than the living who are still living. BUT BETTER OFF THAN BOTH OF THEM IS THE ONE WHO HAS NEVER EXISTED, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun."

Ecclesiastes 4:1-3

"Why then has Thou brought me out of the womb? Would that I had died and no eye had seen me! I should have been as though I had  not been, carried from womb, to tomb."

Job 10:18-19

All babies are innocent and go to heaven, right?

"And if men struggle and strike a WOMAN WITH CHILD so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty, a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot, a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound, and a bruise for a bruise."

Exodus 21:22-25

NOTICE IT DOES NOT SAY the penalty would automatically be a life for the life of the unborn child. The bible does not consider that unborn child to be a fully fledged human being. The baby's death is not considered MURDER. If it was, the penalty of taking a "life for a life" would be applied automatically.

The Exodus definition, the fact that God does not consider the fetus to be a equal human person yet, can also be seen in a number of other Bible verses:

Leviticus 27:6 - a monetary value was placed on children, but not until they reached a month old. Younger children had no value.

Numbers 3:15 talks about a census. The Jews were told only to count those one month old and above, anything less was not counted.

Ezekiel 37:8-10 - God reanimates dead bones into living soldiers. But the passage makes note that they were "...not alive as persons until they took their first breath."

Genesis 2:7 - Adam had a human form and a vibrant new body, but he only becomes a fully-alive human person until after God makes him breathe.

Genesis 38:24 - a pregnant woman was condemned to death by burning. Though the leaders of Isreal knew the woman was carrying a fetus, this was not taken into consideration. If indeed the Jews, and God who instructed them believed the fetus to be an equal human person to the mother, then why would the let the fetus die for the mother's crimes? The truth is simple, a fetus is not a an equally human person, and it's destruction is not murder. PERIOD.

Ask yourselves why you would have CHILDREN suffer for the sexual behavior of their mothers. Ask yourself if you can SLEEP AT NIGHT with this evil deed you're contemplating with all of your power and responsibility. This is how you use it?
