Women's Health Centers Regulations

It is unfortunate that in the state of Virginia, a state whose motto is Sic Semper Tyrannis, that something as tyrannical, devious and dubious as the current actions taken against women's health centers.  Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the word tyranny, but according to Webster's Online Dictionary:

"Oppressive power; especially oppressive power exerted by government"

Though cloaked in the smokescreen of medicine, these efforts have not been championed by the Health Department or other regulatory agencies.  They may be involved now, after politicians with personal agendas have decided what should be done - enforce their personal beliefs on the lives of others, but those agencies did not originate these efforts.

That where the deviousness of this also comes in.  The argument put forth is, in fact, a smokescreen to shield the personal agendas of people who have strong religious convictions and feel compelled to control the lives of others in the name of their religion.  That argument does not sound as clean and is more easily challenged, but arguing from a "medical" perspective that becomes more difficult to challenge, right?  Lying is devious.

And the outcomes they are seeking to effect is dubious.  Why does the government need to control one class of people's choices?  This is ONLY affecting women and female bodied persons.  Its limitation is suspect.  The target is precise, though the same arguments being put forth could have consequences on other outpatient medical practices as well.  However, that argument is not being put forth and that belies the true spirit in which this action is being taken.

The outcomes for women and female bodied persons is disastrous if this action becomes permanent.  These regulations are unnecessary, hurtful, improperly applied, short-sighted and tyrannical.  I am ashamed of how the representatives of this state, a state that has its roots in revolution and freedom, have allowed this ridiculous and perverse action to become regulation.  I strongly encourage those reviewing the temporary actions of the governor to disallow those regulations to become permanent in any way that would temper the access of the services offered through the women's health care centes being targeted.
