Don't restrict women's access to healthcare - amend the proposed regulations

I'm writing to speak out about the proposed regulations for abortion facilities.  These regulations are overly burdensome and unnecessary, and most importantly, jeopardize a woman's right to choose and have access to critical gynecological care.

When I was a graduate student, I did not have access to health insurance.  Because I was uninsured, Planned Parenthood was my only option for low cost healthcare.  I am extremely grateful that they are around, and able to provide me (and others in my situation) with low cost care - this is a critical gap and these regulations would hamper Planned Parenthood and other organization's ability to meet my healthcare needs as well as those that are seeking abortion services.

Instead of adding burden to organizations such as Planned Parenthood, the State of Virginia should provide additional funding for these organizations.

In short, I oppose these regulations, and urge the Board of Health not to pass any additional, burdensome regulations on abortion clinics.
