Keep Virginia in the RGGI

I am writing to urge the Youngkin administration to keep Virginia in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). Since joining the RGGI in 2020, power plant pollution has decreased consistently in Virginia, and the program has brought more than $378 million to the state so far. The benefits of participating in this program are far reaching, from lowering energy bills for families, to funding more efficient affordable housing. It would be a mistake to remove our state from the RGGI.

The climate crisis may be the biggest issue we face today, and we should collectively be doing all we can to fight for climate justice. You have the power to continue taking positive steps forward by keeping Virginia in the RGGI, and looking for other ways to invest in creating a better tomorrow. RGGI is the law, and it helps the people of Virginia. Please keep our state in this important program. Thank you for your time.
