Don't Repeal RGGI!

RGGI is critical to keeping Virginia on track in reducing dangerous greenhouse gas emissions.  Repealing it would be short-sighted - we need to continue making progress on reducing our reliance on fossil fuels to avoid future fluctuations in oil prices and to be prepared for the eventual necessary transition to all renewable energy.  RGGI is effectively reducing our power plant emissions, which have consistently decreased since 2020.

Additionally, RGGI has had other great benefits for the state.  Reduced emissions mean better health outcomes and reductions in healthcare costs.  This initiative also generates funding for energy-efficient homes to low-income families - what a great thing!

This law was passed by our representatives, and I and millions of other Virginians support it.  Don't use a back-door maneuver to try to reverse this important initiative.
