Please enact the proposed amendment to 4VAC10-30-170, which allows for the otherwise lawful carry of firearms and ammunition in state forests!  This amendment brings state forests into alignment with state parks, national parks, and national forests.

As a single female I have long been wary of spending time in Virginia's parks because I felt I could too easily be preyed upon without the ability to defend myself.  The change to lawful carry will allow me to once again enjoy our parks with an increased sense of security.
