I am a firearms dealer in VA and teach Concealed Handgun Permit classes for the Virginia CHP.  I would encourge changes in the state law to permit open and concealed carry in VA State Forests, thereby conforming to the existing carry laws in the rest of the state and in National Parks.  I don't believe there are any good reasons for forbidding lawabiding citizines to carry a firearm in our state parks.   Self protection needs do not terminate when entering a state park.  Thank you for allowing a commet period on this issue.
