SB 656 - oppose

I oppose SB656

I oppose the policy proposed by the Virginia Department of Education that would notify parents of any sexually explicit materials assigned to their child's class. There is enough intolerance in Virginia already and children need to learn about their own sexuality and that of others. This is a healthy, smart thing to do -- and teachers are trained and know how to do it. There's been too much interference in schools -- parents have rights, but teachers do to, as do our children.
