I oppose this bill. As a parent of a school aged child in Virginia, I support educators and their knowledge and understanding to teach challenging material in ways that encourage insightful and thoughtful responses. This is a solution looking for a problem, and the language is too nonspecific which could easily be used to censor important educational material. The classroom should be a place to learn, explore new ideas, and expand children's minds, not live in fear of discussing some subject deemed taboo by a reactionary minority in our electorate.
