SB 656

It is hard to imagine that one of the major reasons this legislation was passed at all wasn't to try to give cover to the prohibition of discussion of LGBTQI+ issues or other issues that may make some people "uncomfortable" such as sexual assault.

However, the fact is that these issues are not implicitly "sexual" and by continuing to treat them as such, you only serve to perpetuate dangerous stereotypes that cause real damage to everyone.

The implementation of this legislation must be clear that LGBTQI+ issues, sexual assault, and other important topics are still expected to be covered.
