LGBTQ Isn’t Sexually Explicit!

I am a high school student at Fairfax County Public Schools and I am against this bill. This will not protect kids, it will only erase representation for LGBTQ kids and impact their ability to live a normal life true to who they are. Every child hall has a right to that. If Virginia DOE is against talking about sexuality or LGBTQ identities, then by their same logic it would be wrong to include information and discussions about straight relationships as well. Isn’t that equally as “sexually explicit”? By this prevalent “don’t say gay” logic, a female teacher wouldn’t be able to mention her husband, just as a female teacher wouldn’t be able to mention her wife.
