In Favor w/ an Opportunity

I support the passage of the Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content. I believe these policies affirm a fundamental right of parents to be aware of curriculum and make decisions based on that knowledge for their unique situation and child. These model policies do not prevent this material from being used in schools, but give parents the ability to discern if their children will be exposed to said material. Having said that this document could benefit from the creation and implementation of specific actions every school must take to aid in consistency for minimum standards.
