VA DoE - Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content

-- It is critical to our individual families and our overall society that we protect children from inappropriate sexual content at school while respecting parents’ right to determine whether their children are exposed to this content.

-- It is morally right to provide parents the opportunity to review sexually explicit sensitive material prior to exposing their children to such material. It is both irresponsible and reprehensible to do otherwise.

-- Please ensure the VA DoE does all that is possible to ensure the rights of the parents and child are considered together as a family unit when determining the best course of action.
