If Being Queer is ‘Sexually Explicit’ then so is Everything not Labeled as such

I truly fail to see how loving someone or not being cisgender is considered to be ‘sexually explicit’. Please, just try and give me a valid reason as to how such a statement doesn’t immediately rule as false. I for one cannot find any reasonable motive for this document. As such I greatly oppose Guidance Document SB656 as it will greatly impact the safety and representation of Queer Youth and will influence the stigma against the LGBTQ+ Community. This is not the accepting, open type of environment that our school systems are so proud of and advertise publicly to the community. As a student in VBCPS and a member of the LGBTQ+ Community myself, how can I be expected to feel safe and accepted as I am if documents such as SB656 are being created and passed as I type this very comment? And if I feel this way think of the countless other Queer students and the price we’ll have to pay for the ignorance of others of this ‘Guidance Document’ is passed. WE are NOT the crazed sexual beasts that you lot try and make us out to be. We’re people just like everyone else and there’s absolutely no valid reason to block our existence like some sketchy website on school owned tech. Just take a minute to really think about what you are doing and see how wrong it is. Good day
