Teachers should not be given license to discriminate

I'm very concerned about the proposal put forth by Ms. Schultz that would allow teachers to censor materials that would erase the visibility of LGBTQ+ experiences. Representation matters, and it promotes tolerance in our school community, as well as a needed lifeline to our queer students. This strikes me as another vain attempt to put far right hate agenda points on Ms. Schultz' resume at the expense of hundreds of public education and the well being of hundreds of thousands of families in Virginia.
