As a parent who had to pull a child due to sexually explicit reading materials that studies have shown harm their minds, I must insist upon certain minimum standards are expressly mandated, as my experience and understanding of the system leaves me with the impression that many of the schools will find ways around what they consider to be mere guidelines.
