Guidance Document Change: In 2021, the Virginia General Assembly passed House Bill 1904 and Senate Bill 1196, and was signed into law by Governor Northam. The law establishes new requirements to support culturally competent educators in the Commonwealth. The Guidance on Cultural Competency Training for Teachers and Other Licensed School Board Employees in Virginia Public Schools was developed for the Board to fulfill the statutory mandate to provide guidance on the minimum standards for the local training requirement.

Culturally Responsive Teaching is BIASED

A teacher’s license should be tied tontheir ability to teach amath, reading, writing and arithmetic. Science amd history are critical subjects, as well. Critical race Theory, “Equity” of outcomes are all focused on defining individuals by their rwc.  A good teacher sees each student as a oerson of potential, amd seeka to equip that student with the akills needed to make thwir future in this country.

Keep CRT out of the schools. Teach accurate history! Do not bully our  teachers with the threat of loaing their license over CRT.
