NO to Vaccine Mandates!

Vaccine mandates in general are unsubstantiated and unscientific, in that we know scientifically that both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals can carry and transmit infection.  This proposal is effecting children, a vulnerable portion of the population, whos parents should have the choice to vaccinate them or not.  The choice to vaccinate oneself or ones children should be a personal and private medical matter.  No one should be forced to receive a COVID vaccination against their own free will, and children should be protected by their parents.  This mandate would have negative implications for many Virginia children, parents, and teachers, effecting their education and/or their futures.

It is right that irrational and science denying people in general, should especially not be dictating the public health policy for VA or the schools, such as in this case.  I hope that those in positions with a responsibility to serve and protect our public can make a sound decision for Virginians and rightly refuse vaccine mandates.
