No Mandates

Those who have had the covid shot and those who have not still get and spread the virus, therefore, a mandate is simply an outdated notion. It gives people a false sense of security. This shot should be viewed as any other shot (like a flu shot), which is those who wish to protect themselves from a more severe case or possibly contracting the virus should be free to get it. Those who do not wish to have it, should be free to not get it. The death rate for covid continues to be very low at less than 2%--closer to 1%. That does not warrant mandating something that is not going to eradicate the virus in the first place. 99% of those who get covid survive. Those numbers matter--they are not worth trampling people's freedom. Kids should be in school with no masks and if they are too sick to go to school, they should stay home. If they are well enough to go, they should. That is how a society thrives and grows--educate and press on, don't live in fear.
